How many homes are going to be built in Oakbrook?
- There are 44 lots available in Phase 1.
How close are places to shop and to dine out?
- Oakbrook is just minutes from I-35, restaurants, and shopping.
How long does it take to get downtown or to the airport?
- Oakbrook is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and about 30 from the Plaza and downtown Kansas City.
- Oakbrook is located in unincorporated Clay County between Liberty and Kearney

HOMES AND LOTS
What are the square footage requirements?
- Two story homes, not less than 2,200 square feet of enclosed floor area, with not less than 1,200 square feet on the first floor.
- One and a half story homes, not less than 2,200 square feet of enclosed floor area, with not less than 1,600 square feet of enclosed floor area on the first floor.
- Single level (so called “ranch”) homes, not less than 1,600 square feet of enclosed floor area.
- Reverse story and a half homes, not less than 2,200 square feet of enclosed floor area, with not less than 1,600 square feet on the first floor.
- Most of the homes in Oakbrook will exceed these dimensions.
- Detached garages or outbuildings are allowed, but must look like the home.
Do you have any homes that are available right now?
- There will be several spec homes available in the near future.
Can I have a home custom built?
- Yes, most of the homes in Oakbrook will be custom built homes. All builders and plans must be approved by the Oakbrook Design and Approval Committee.
BUILDERS
Can I use a builder other than one of the Preferred Builders?
We have two Preferred Builders:
- Mike Foster with Michael’s Quality Homes
- Jim Carlson with Jim Carlson Construction.
- If you prefer to bring your own builder, they must be approved by the Oakbrook Design and Approval Committee.
CONDITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

HOMEOWNER’S ASSOCIATION
Is there a Homeowner’s Association?
There is a Homeowner’s Association at Oakbrook. The developer is in charge of the association until the subdivision is completed, at that time the homeowners will take over. The dues will be approximately $120 per year. That will take care of the common areas, walking trails, butterfly and wildflower gardens in the subdivision.
SCHOOLS
What school district do children living in Oakbrook attend?
Children living in Oakbrook will attend Kearney Schools. At this time the schools are Dogwood for kindergarten through 5th grade, Summit Ridge for 6th and 7th, Kearney Junior High for 8th and 9th, and Kearney High School for 10th through 12th.
